Transferring A Butterfly...please Help

I am doing a Bridal Shower cake on Saturday. I received an invitation with a butterfly design on it. I wanted to surprise the bride and put the design on the cake squares. What is the best way to use that design...stencil, frosting thru a tip, etc. Food color pens seem to want to run so I'm not sure what would be the best way to do it. I appreciate any help. Thanks!
You could also make butterflies out of fondant and stick them on the side of the cake. You can let them dry in formers for shape or put them on flat. There are a lot of butterfly shaped cutters out there, you can use cookie cutters, there are also some cutters in the clay craft sections of most hobby stores.
You can use food markers or gel dyes and a paintbrush to color the butterflies or use different colors of fondant.
I have some cakes with butterflies in my gallery if you want to take a look. Hope this helps.
Frozen buttercream transfer? Might be too much if you have to do it over and over but I LOVE the technique!
