Hello all,

I have to make cupcakes for an order next saturday and the customer would like letter and number cutouts on the cupcakes. I would like to make them in advance so they have a change to harden and I can just stick on top of the cupcakes. Would I use fondant or gumpaste? I plan on ordering the products today. I am getting white and then I'm going to paint each letter with luster dust to make them silver and gold. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Karema

You can use fondant, if they are going to be made in advance, the fondant will dry out just fine, and taste better then gumpaste if they decide to eat the letters. I would put wax paper down on cookie sheets and lay the letters on it, then stack the cookie sheets.
