Hi. I've bakd cupcakes and they are more in the freezer. what is the best way to defrost them? And when do I pipe buttercream? While still slightly frozen? Also when decorating a cake with buttercream shed fondant, do I crumbcoat with buttercream while still frozen, then wait to defrost to fondant? what do I do while it's defrosting, put it in the fridge? After it's had it's first fondant layer odd it fine to keep out of the fridge (obviously fondant didn't normally go in the fridge.)
Thanks, soory I have soooo many q's

I think it's best to defrost on the counter and come to room temperature.

I would do a crumb coat while still partially frozen UNLESS I'm covering in fondant then I will wait until room temp. I do not want to do anything that could cause the fondant to sweat and melt.

Also, I would try not to put fondant in the fridge or freezer. I can sweat, bleed and kind of melt. I learned this the hard way.

HTH!!
