This isn't nearly as bad as dropping a cake, but...

I am reorganizing my cake supplies, and as I was sorting through my luster dusts I dropped my favorite shiny copper luster dust and it popped open and it all fell out. That stuff is so expensive!!! I saved the top layer that didn't touch the storage bin I had it in, but I'll have to remember to only use it for my fun 'for me' cakes. The little containers are SO hard to open and SO hard to close!

Not a good start to the venture... icon_sad.gif

Oh man >_< Maybe you could invest in some mini pots with screw-on lids to avoid this happening again? I'm terrible with those little pop-off lids >_<

Yep, had the same thing happen to me with the silver dust. Didn't realize it wasn't shut all the way and put it back in the box with my other dusts. Next time I got it out everything was covered in silver. Grrrrrr! I think I'll use Myxstorie's idea and save my crystal color jars and exchange them for the pop-off lids. Good suggestion.

Just FYI... I started using my jar opener to get those little stinkers open, and it works so so well.

Just in case you're not sure what I'm talking about it's this thingy.... I use the non-poky side.

THe first time I opened a pot of luster dust I couldn't believe how difficult it was to pop off the top!! I was also in disbelief that it was a top you had to pop off to begin with!! No screw on lid?? Whoever is manufacturing this stuff is banking on us all having these disasters so that we have to run off and buy more. That's what I think.
