Is there a standard size that a cake pop should be? I recently ordered the "cake baller tool" (which is basically a meat ball tool), and the balls seem a little small to me compared to what I normally make them.

When I first started making cake pops, I had a heck of a time with them. Then I decided they needed to be uniform, so I started using my cookie dough scoop. It makes balls about 1 1/2" in diameter. They looked to be SO tiny, but once they were dipped and decorated they looked just like everyone else's. As with a lot of other things, being generous will cause you problems. icon_rolleyes.gif Once I started making them smaller, they were a lot easier.
