My son and daughter in law live out of state and their 1 st anniversay is coming up. He is in the military so they cannot come home. I want to ship them a remake of the top layer for their anniversay. Any suggestions

What type of cake is it, how is it covered, and what size? I can help you.

I have shipped 6" fondant tiers before. Keep the decorations SIMPLE! Attach the cake to the cake board in the usual way then saran wrap the whole thing tightly. Place in a cake box the same size and use packing peanuts or that air bubble packaging to fill out the rest of the space in the box. Pack in a real cardboard box and fill the extra space. Ship overnight and preferably frozen.
