Wilton Canyd Melt White Splotches

Hi, im trying to make a cake for my sisters birthday and i bought these Elephant candy molds...everything seemed ok but when they dry there are ugly white splotches and dots all over the candy. :/ i did smaller candy no problem, it looks fine so im just wondering what it is about the bigger candy molds that you need to do special to make them come out "pretty" ? or I dont know, something i can do to prevent this?

I tried in the fridge and out of the fridge to dry both still had the spots...

There are two things you can try. You can rub a little shortening on one of the ones already made and see if that works. You can also temper the melts again. Look it up online. From what I remember, you simply heat them to a certain temperature and then let them cool to temper it. I know melts aren't "real" chocolate, but I've done it before and it seems to help.

Hmm, it just occurred to me: are the mold spotlessly clean? Perhaps it's something in the mold that's causing it.

Are ;you coloring them? Sounds like they didn't melt completely or the color didn't mix well.
