Ganache covered cake board?

Has anyone covered a cake board in poured ganache? I'm making a cake covered with poured ganache and want the cake board to match. Do I need to use anything under the ganache to adhere it to the board (silver cake drum) or would it stick on it's own? Any tips would be greatly appreciated icon_smile.gif

It should stick but I'm not sure it will harden. I'm afraid it might be a little soft as board cover. That said its worth a shot. I would collar the board with parchment paper and be very careful because choc shows finger printsicon_smile.gif

I'd think that to have it work well, you'd have to put the cake on the board and then cover the whole shebang with the poured ganache...........

Thanks for the replies, didn't think about fingerprints! I will have a play and see if I can get it to work.
