Does anyone know how to make baby blocks? I'm trying but I'm having a hard time making them completely square and all the same size.

I just added a photo of a pink and green birthday cake. the mother wanted to add 'something' so that the childs name was spelled out, so..... I used rice krispie treats!!! Super easy to form into a nice square, block!!! coated in some white almond bark, then decorate how ever you want.... fondant, etc!!
It ended up being much simpler that I thought it would be!!

If you want to make it out of fondant, I usually roll the fondant to the height I want (usually 1 inch) then I take a ruler and mark it straight down on both sides of the ruler, then turn the ruler (so it's like a cross) then mark both sides again. You will end up with a square in the middle of the ruler markings and then I just cut straight down. When I have cut out the block I will use fondant smoothers and press the block to get it more straighter.

Hopefully that makes sense icon_smile.gif
