What size picture are you taking with your digital?

What photo program do you use?

side note: did you remember to stamp it before posting it? There are cake picture pirates out there.

I think I may know what happened.....

Which set of directions did you use to stamp? Paint or Print Shop?

It looks like, after stamping, when you exported your pic back into JPG, you didn't select just the picture and it JPG'd the whole page, causing your picture to appear smaller than it really is.

You used Paint? Hold on- let me try a couple of things to see what may have gone wrong. I may have to tweak my instructions. You did save an original copy of the picture as instructed... right?

I'm going to ask you a few questions as I go along....

After opening paint, you should have clicked file and then clicked open and then chose your picture.

OK- now think... when you opened paint and before opening your picture, there should have been a white box. Then you selected your picture. Did it totally replace the white box or was there white left around it?

once on paint

I did what you said...

Then the white screen was up..
Clicked on files of type & chose JPGJ. jpeg

then my scans
then open
then clicked on the month the pics were scanned
then open
then the pic I wanted
then it came up on the screen & it was across the whole screen

I put my name on it & hit save like you said

that was that;;;;

Ok- you did good. For some reason it's saving more than you are telling it to.

Hold on.....

Are you using PAINT or the newer Paint Plus or Paint Deluxe or something like that?

try something....

When you are ready save, click edit first. Click select all. Then do your Save As.

See what happens. All that should save is your picture and the enhancements, not all that white space around it.

OK- at least we know we're using the same version. Is it only showing all of the white space after you post it here? It's not showing before you post it when you review it on your computer?

email me your enhanced picture

I think this could be the problem...

When I got on paint I had to scroll a long way over to be able to get to the picture. I had to scroll down also.... could that be the problem?

Ok, I will try to email it to you...

Yes, there is definitely a problem if you are having to scroll. We need to get to the bottom of that. It's so frustrating not to be able to see what's happening.

When you open your picture in paint, it should be in the top left hand corner and no scrolling.

OK- got your enhanced picture. It's huge!! But mostly white space. I've cropped it for you and sent it back.

Your roses look really nice, btw... I got to see them larger than life.

You know what, since you're having to scroll before you are enhancing the picture. I think there may be a problem wit the way it was saved at Wilmar.

You will need to crop your pictures before you can enhance and post them.

I guarantee this is the problem. Let's try to figure out how to save them from your camera to your computer.

I'm going to bed and then church in the morning then having guests. I won't be back on until late tomorrow.... very late for you, since I'm behind you a couple of hours.

Hopefully someone can help you before then with saving from your camera to the computer. I promise this will fix the problem.

If you save to your computer and still have to scroll over, don't go any further. That means the problem is not resolved.

OK- now that you told me (in an email) you were scanning the pictures- we have it figured out. Make sure you crop only the picture before doing your final scan. Hahaha!!! At least it was an easy fix.

I was racking my brain here...
