I wanted to give everyone a laugh. I had a consultation with a potential bride a few weeks ago. She sat down and before I anything really got started, she said, I have one stipulation, "the cake must be dry and not sweet whatsoever." I looked at her,not really sure what she was wanting. The not so sweet part, OK, doable, but I told her that I was the wrong baker for her if she wanted a dry cake. She gave me this look, "like are you kidding, I'm paying for a cake and you're not gonna give me what I want." She asked me what was so wrong with her request, I told her, that my name is on the line here and I was 100% sure that she wasn't going to make an announcement to all of her guest, "ladies and gentlemen, yes, the cake is dry, it was my specific request, so please do not blame the baker." She got up and walked out and did manage to say, "thanks for wasting 15 minutes of my time that I could have used on other wedding plans." Yes, I get all the crazies!

Wow when I first saw the title I was thinking the bride meant no frosting. Who wants a dry unsweetened cake? I think she wants a decorated biscuit or cornbread.

Hi,

Lmboooo, she has to be a looney, lol. I wouldn't make her cake, she would have to go elsewhere. As you stated your name is on the line and there's no telling that when ppl eat the so called "dry " cake, that she won't go behind your back and blame it on you :-/

I would be interested to see who would take her up on such a stupid request! ha ha...you could have said, 'well of course, and how would you like your week-old loaf of bread decorated?'

icon_lol.gif , reminds me of some anorectic clients:
- 'I want a VERY dietetic cake.'
- 'What flavour would you like?'
- 'Chocolate cake with triple ganache filling'.
- 'OK, I can draw you one but won't be using brown crayons, there is some fat in them. Are you okay with chalks?'
