Hi everyone,

I'm gonna try to make a slot machine cake... It's my first time making a sculpted cake, so i'm quite nervous!

Can anyone tell me if i can just bake a rectangle cake and stand it up? Would it collapse and break into pieces? Or should i stack layers to make a tall rectangle?

The cake will be around 6"

Any advice or tips will appreciated!

Hi,

I think you should stack your cakes and start there. I would even use Square cakes instead of rectangle, well depending on the look your going for and how many ppl you want it to serve. It would make for a great start to your slot machine.

But, if you want to use rectangle shaped cakes by all means you can icon_smile.gif then you can cut away what you don't want and us those pieces to create the top of your slot machine icon_smile.gif
