Hi everyone,
Iam planning on making a cake with a small bunch of lavender as cake topper but couldnt find instructions anywhere. I desperately need help if someone has ever made or has any idea of making gumpaste/fondant lavenders. Thanks.

I've made lavender with royal icing but the technique could probably be done in gumpaste. I dipped floral wire in royal icing and then piped layers of dots in two shades of lavender and green, allowing each layer/color to dry in between. I don't see why you couldn't use gumpaste dots, or make tiny baby's breath-type flowers and attach those to wire.

Thanks for the tip, I love your lavender cake. I'll try with royal icing first. Any advise as to whether gumpaste or RI will give better and foolproof result?
