I am in the midcities area between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. I have recently started a home bakery which has become a massive success in a very short amount of time. I have a name and website however my specialty is cupcakes and cake pops. I read a great post on here suggesting homebakers join forces and talents and open up a storefront. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there in my area, especially someone that specialized in the CAKE side that would like to team up. I have built a very decent clientelle. I just really need more space and bigger equipment...which requires more space!

A have heard from a lot of people that there is a real need for a decent place to go get a single AWESOME cupcake without driving to DALLAS. I have sampled competition and am saddened by their lack of luster.

I am in the process of leaving my full time employment to pursue this dream of baking. The baking is becoming full time quickly! icon_smile.gif

Are you sure you want to team with someone else? That means 50% of the ownership goes to them.....and if you don't already know that person it could mean future troubles due to not knowing who they really are.

There are scenarios where it makes sense to team up so just make sure you look at all options. For my wife and I to open it really wasn't that hard to get cash.....what would have been nice is hiring/partnering with someone that understood better how to run a business/bakery.
