I have a cake due Friday that has alot of cutout fondant circles, and hearts. I was wondering if I could cut them out either tonight or tomorrow night and wrap them in saran wrap, my only concern is will they stay soft and flexable, I want them to wrap around the cake, not turn hard, I was trying to get as much detail work done ahead of time, so that it wouldnt take quite as long to decorate THursday night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you can precut your fondant work then later attach to the cake. Just be sure you store them completely airtight until needed, the same you would do for any leftover fondant. I triple wrap my leftover in saran wrap then place in an airtight container, away from heat and light. You could cut out your circles and such and place on cookie sheet that has plastic wrap, then cover with more plastic wrap. Besure to seal well around each cut piece so no air is trapped within.

Good luck
