Hi, does anybody knows how to avoid brush strokes when painting on fondant? I'm using Americolor gel diluted in either vodka or clear vanilla and at first, I thought it was my brush so I switched it a few times. Then I was using vodka and switched to clear vanilla and got the same thing is there a way to avoid the brush strokes? is there a trick to it?...I'm painting Cs on a Coach purse cake and I hate how the brush strokes show
Any tips will help, thank you all!!
Thin coats, and not brushing back over a spot while it is still tacky.
Ohhhhh, thank you!!! no wonder, I kept on brushing in the same spot and you can imagine how it looks ----but, let's say I want the color to be deeper? should I wait till it dries and go over again??
Thank you again TexasSugar you are always so helpful
Yes you can go back over the spot, just let it dry inbetween. When you go back over it while wet it picks up some of the coloring you aready put on there.
I also love airbrush colors for painting. They are already thinned down.

Ahhhh, thank you again!!! and guess what? I just got myself a 'cake airbrush' little kit but I was afraid to use it on the Cs for the purse since I thought it could spray color in the whole purse.
