Im new to caking and would like to make my mom a birthday cake. she is a chocolate lover, so i would like to make the cake outta chocolate and then do regular MM fondant. Can someone please recommend a good receipe for chocolate cake that i can fondant...cheers

"Darn Good Chocolate Cake" (you can find the recipe here on CC) is an awesome recipe that is dense and can be covered easily with fondant. This is one of my most requested flavors. I use real butter, chocolate milk, and mini chocolate chips. It takes a little while to bake so I put a decorating nail in the pan before pouring the batter to help the cake bake more evenly.
