I am making a Buttercream cake with fondant dots and strips and a bow on top. I know the buttercream has to go in the fridge but can I put it in there with the bow and stuff on it?
What recipe are you using for the buttercream? Not all buttercreams have to be kept in the fridge.
Personally I don't put any cakes in the fridge because then I would have to deal with condensation issues.
I would be happy to refrigerate a fondant covered cake (as long as precautions are taken to avoid condensation on the cake), but not for a bow. The moisture will get to it and make it sag and collapse.
That's awesone! I guess I assumed it ha to go on the fridge. Does it get really soft and hard to transport?
