Last night I made 3 batches of white velvet cake with flower nails (not sure why because they were small cakes) they all sank slightly in the middle. The 4th batch I removed the nail and they baked perfectly. My question is do you think I should rebake? Or fill the difference with bc icing? The tiers are 4, 6 and 8 square. I can't decide! How much is slightly?

If you are talking a very little bit, I wouldn't rebake. I'd probably level it off, just to get a look inside and make sure it is baked through.

If you have a real sinkhole, you'd probably better rebake.

depends like karateka said...is your center seeming not done? do you level your cakes? you should...and if you do that you can tell if it's baked all the way through
