Can anyone help me... I have bought enough wire to make hundreds of flowers.... All the wrong weight... What is the exact weight of floral wire to make roses,peony's ect... Every time I go into my local Michael's I'm told something different.... HELP... Thanks Therese

It depends on the flower you are making. Heavier flowers require a thicker wire, and delicate flowers require a thinner wire. I make a lot of gumpaste flowers, and here are the sizes I use (these are approximations):
Roses 20g (sometimes 18g, depending on how big they are going to be)
Sweet Peas 28g (use 22g to put them together)
Mini-Roses 24g
Hydrangea 26g
Daisy 24g
In general, you can substitute one size up or down (24g for 26g, 28g for 26g), depending on the weight and size of the flower.
