Just thought I'd share this past weekend's wedding cake. I had so much fun doing it - I wish I could make these every day! I also did 2 sheet cakes to go along with it, but I didn't take pictures of those. I had to transport this cake 20 miles and actually got stopped by the police for going too slow! The officer was very understanding once I showed him the cakes in the back! I really need to get a magnetic sign or something to put on my car.
You did a great job on this cake. I love the color! So sorry you got stopped by the police. I'm sure you didn't think it was very funny then, but probably do now.
Beautiful job!! Looks great. Love your story too. That's got to be a first for getting stopped for going too slow!
Joan
The cake turned out just beautiful!! I have not attempted a wedding cake yet.. so my hat is off to you for doing such a great job!!!
Hugs,
Beth
Awesome cake. I have to get one of those magnetic sign also. As a matter of fact i am going to order one right now from CC. Remember for the month of September 2005, 10% of all sales in the CakeCentral Store will be donated to the American Red Cross to aid in the recovery of hurricane Katrina victims.

Your cake is beautiful. I thought about a magnet too. What if we put "Wedding Cake on Board- Will not break for anything!" with big yellow and black caution markings?
I love your cake you did a fantastic job . Sorry you got stopped by the police.. Made me think of this joke someone sent me the other day.. Thought I'd post it for you and give you a chuckle.
Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers .
A Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH.
He thinks to himself "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.
Approaching the car, he notices that there are five ladies - two in the front seat and three in the back - wide eyed and white as ghosts.
The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?"
"Ma'am," the officer replies, "You weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers."
"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly...Twenty two miles an hour!" the woman says a bit proudly.
The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that "22" was the route number, not the speed limit.
A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error. "But before I let you go,
Ma'am, I have to ask...Is everyone in this car ok? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time." the officer asks.
"Oh, they'll be alright in a minute officer. We just got off Route 119."

That was hilarious!!!!! I needed a good laugh!!! Thanks Liz!!
Your cake is great cowspot!! Sorry about the Five-0!! I'm sorry but I laughed at that too! Did you get an escort to the wedding??
That story is so cute, Liz.
I love the cake cowspot!! I haven't done a wedding cake yet either. I am glad to not have had the chance yet. But there are also times when I just think of making one for practice so that I can get an early read on how I am doing. Great, great job!!
Tanya
