I have to make a Belle doll cake for this lady but she also wanted to know if its possible to make The Beast as well (like a doll cake) I told her I would ook into it but I also suggested a sheet cake and the Belle doll cake ontop with The Beast made out of modeling chocolate.....but my question is,How would I make a Beast doll cake for one and for two would it even look right......I have two weeks to figure it out! PLEASE HELP!
The problem with a Beast cake would be that he's not thick at the bottom like the Belle cake. Her dress makes things easier. For him you would have to do a central support and build it up. I could walk you through the steps if you want to pm me..but for the size you would need to go with a Belle doll cake I don't think it would be worth all the effort unless they are willing to pay quite a bit more. He is extremely detailed and I don't know how much experience you have with cakes like that but it would take me a few hours to make him look the way he is supposed to and I do 3D cakes a lot. If you do decide to make him just make sure you plan well.
If you don't have a lot of experience making those kind of 3D cakes I would create him out of modeling chocolate so that he could be made ahead of time and spend a good amount of time on Belle's dress so you have both looking GREAT!! Good luck
Maybe modeling chocolate on the bottom and rice krispies on the top? I think the rice krispies will be lighter and maybe he won't tip over. You'd also obviously have to secure him. I have to admit I'm jealous, that sounds FUN. I love beast. I assume she's looking for "fancied up" Beast and not "just stormed into the dungeon" Beast? I think the moment when he is inviting Belle to dance with a hand behind and the other extended would be beautiful...the cake itself as the dance floor...
Okay. Yeah. I'm off in my own little dreamy cake world now. I love Beauty and the Beast.
