OK, I know this is probably unpopular, but I was given a cute cow mold that is plastic and it SAYS that you can bake a cake in it in 6 minutes in a microwave. I didn't believe it (our last name is Cowart, so LOTS of people give us cow things, lol). I tried a banana bread/cake for 6 minutes. Not done in the center. Gave it 3 min more and it was better, but it was REALLY rubbery. I live in Mexico and Semana Santa is coming up. This is a VERY big selling time for me and if 6 minute full recipe heart brownies/giant cookies/single layer molded cakes ARE possible, ..., well that would help me a lot, lol. Any tips/suggestions? I have not used a microwave much. I actually cook. I only "nuke" stuff to warm it up, make fondant easier to work with, etc. I have looked on the "net" and there are many more of these "Pantastic" cake molds and they are a lot cheaper than the colection of Nordic Ware that I have. People here LOVE the different styles of molded cakes. We have to run the AC a LOT with all of the Semana Santa baking. A little nuking would save me $ on air conditioning too, lol! Please help.
Sorry to say that I've never had a nuke baked cake that wasn't very "off" in texture...........

6 minutes in a microwave
What wattage were they quoting for ?? wattage dictates times
What type of cake ? different batter densities cause time variations
What was the standing time ? cake continues to cook after the zapping
Rotating turntable in the microwave ? otherwise manual rotation is required
Large turntable ? otherwise manual rotation within the turntable is required
