HEY THERE! I've been asked to do a cake shaped like australia! I've never done one like this before and wanted to know if anyone has a clue on how to do this or a recommendation at all! I really could use it! It will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

blow up a picture of the continent to the size you need, place it on the cake and cut it out. If you want to add depth and dimension for mountains, etc. simply add cake scraps in those areas, ice and cover. Airbrush for extra detail.

If you are in Australia, you can hire a cake tin like this:

If you are not, then you can carve a sheet cake using the general shape of this tin to guide you ...

I would freeze the cake first so it's easier to carve. If your home printer won't print one as large as you need try a place like kinkos.
