Hi to Everyone - I am hoping someone can help me . . . my nephew is celebrating his 6th birthday and I am planning to make him a guitar cake. I would like to do an actual stand-up guitar cake, similar to the one - if anyone can remember - that was done by the Cake Girls a while back that was shown on Amazing Wedding Cakes. Does anyone else remember that episode? And if so, do you remember how they were able to do the stand-up part of the cake to make it look more realistic.

Any help would be so appreciated.

Thanks.

I wanted to do an electric guitar sort of standing up on a base. And I remember an episode of Amazing Wedding Cakes where The Cake Girls did a stand-up guitar cake and I have been searching the episode and cannot find it to see how they did it.

it may be too late, but the cake shop i work at has recently launched a stand up guitar cake kit. we make custom wedding and celebration cake as well as teach classes. we are in the process of developing several kits to sell. you can order the kit and we will ship it to you. i don;t think al the kits are online yet, but you can go to www.theclassroomatamazingkakes.com and fill out the contact form. you can also look up amazinggirl on the photo gallery and she (my boss) has a picture of the guitar we had on display at a recent cake show
