Hi. Was asked to make a shoe box to feed 150. First, not sure how big that needs to be. Anybody? More importantly, I am displaying 4 fun shoes on top and on the sides of the
Box, 4 shoe brand logos, each being a different color. Any suggestions as to what color thenshoe box should be? Didn't want it boring white but I suppose it should
Work with all of the logo colors which are red, royal blue, turquoise, lavender, orange and green. Please help!!!!!! Thanks!!!

Hi,

WOW!!! Thats going to be a really HUGE box icon_smile.gif But, here's what I would do:

Shoe Box: Make 4-16" square cakes. Assemble them as you would do a regular 2 Layer cake but seperately at first, with instead of 1 cake board underneath use 2-3 cake boards for maximum support for the other 2 layers that will go on top. So, when yr done filling and stacking you should have: cake/filling/cake/2-3 boards/cake/filling/cake/2-3 boards.
THIS WILL ALSO GIVE YOU ADDED HEIGHT. YOU COULD USE "FOAMCORE" UNDERNEATH THE ENTIRE CAKE AS YR BASE IF YOU WANT TOO.

Then cover as usual. I think you should use neutral colors for yr boxsince yr shoes wb all different colors. ie: wht/blk or beige/tan box with blk lid or vice versa.

HTH

Why don't you make four smaller shoe boxes and put one of the shoes on each box. you could color coordinate the box with whatever shoe design is sitting on top of it. That might be a little more manageable, and look a little more cohesive. HTH!
