I previously had bad experiences with 2 Cannon printers (below), so I just switched to an Epson Stylus nx-127 with KopyKake T1255SET-4 ink cartridges. Just got it today, and it does't recognize the cartridges. Any ideas why? And what can I do to fix this? Thanks for your help!

My Cannon issues were as follows - - - after running the cleaning cycle enough times, both printers eventually froze up and would not print anymore. I also had the hardest time getting black to print, so I had to manipulate my images in a graphics program so that I wasn't printing with the black cartridge (but with a mixture of the other colors to create black). And even with that, I had alot of problems with clogging.

After reading this site, I realize I should have been printing sheets at least once a week (and I'll start doing that going forward.......that is, if I can get my new printer to print). Any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to make the epson work - - - but if I need to switch back to cannon, what can I do to avoid the above?

Install your cloned ink cartridge into the Epson printer.

Go to "Start > Control Panel" on your computer.

Double-click on "Printer."

Right-click on the icon of your Epson printer and choose "Printer Preferences" at the bottom of the dialog box.

Click on the tab entitled "Speed and Progress" and see the Epson printer monitor box.

Check off the box that says "Disable Epson Status Monitor" to turn off the ink monitor.

Click "Save" and close the windows. Your cloned ink cartridges should now work.

I have most of my experience with Canon. We did dabble a bit in epsons, but found them too finicky. If the above doesn't work, I have found that you need to follow the printers instructions rather then jumping ahead. What I mean by this is start from the very beginning. Take all the cartridges out, turn everything off and unplug it. When you plug it back in, wait for the printer to ask you for everything. Do exactly as the manual says. Make sure when you do put the cartridges in that they are clicked into place thoroughly. If all else fails, convert it back to a regular printer and go for Canon! Use it weekly and will find much more success! Let me know if I can help you any further.
