I saw this cake on Peggy porschen's Facebook page and I am in awe!! The cake was in wedding style, magazine and they described it as Pom Poms, but many commenters said they are marshmallow puffs. What is a marshmallow puff and how do I make them? When I do a google search, they look more like cupcakes...

Sorry I can't post a picture, as I'm writing from my phoneicon_smile.gif

Thanks!! Karla

If I were trying it, I'd use a mold like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004GJ9ARU/?tag=cakecentral-20

I found directions for coloring and molding marshmallows: http://www.hungryhappenings.com/2011/07/use-store-bought-marshmallows-and-sand.html or you could find a recipe to make your own marshmallows.

Then just use sanding sugar on the outsides once they're out of the mold.
