This is the first cake I've made in 10 years! There are some flaws but overall I'm happy with it and so were the couple.

By the way I'm terribly out of date with pricing, the couple are friends so I didn't charge. How much would a cake like this go for?

No one here will be able to give you a price with out a bit more information...
Size of the tiers for starters.

It is a pretty cake. Glad you had a chance to use those hidden talents of yours to bless some friends.

Don't let it be your last one. thumbs_up.gif

Thank you for your kind words.

It's a chocolate cake with a peanut butter mousse filling, covered with peanutbutter buttercream. The detail work is a 50/50 stencil/ freehand design. The tiers are 2 layers, size 14", 10", 6". The sunflower is made of gum paste. All said and done the cake took about 24 hours of my time.

I looked at the Wilton Wedding chart and got these numbers.
The 10 in plus the 14 inch would give about 166 servings ( the topper isn't counted).
If you low ball it at $3 per serving that would be $498.
The flower would be an extra.

Well you've also got specialty fillings and flavor, not to mention skill and effort, and I wouldn't let this out of the house for less than $5 per serving...and to me, for a custom tiered cake, that IS low ball!
