Can I Get Bright Red With What I Have...
Decorating By proudmama4 Updated 11 Jan 2012 , 10:06pm by Texas_Rose
I have some wilton colors (not no-taste red)
I also have these Americolors:
Red Red
Burgundy
Fushia
Super Black
Sky Blue
Copper
Lemon Yellow
Forest Green
Mint Green
Deep Pink
Mauve
Peach
I realize I should have bought a pack that had "super red" now, but...
Is there a way to make a brighter red than what "red red" gives me, which is almost a salmon-ish colored red, with the colors I have?
The forest green didn't turn out very dark either, almost like a medium spruce green. I thought Americolor was suppose to give really bright colors?
Will the Super Black give me a real black that will work for a street?
Thanks in advance!
Put more red red in. Sometimes with red you have to use a lot more than you'd anticipate using.
Super Black will make a real black, as long as you put enough in. It usually darkens a bit overnight (in fondant) so you can stop at dark gray and it will be all the way black the next morning.
