Please share any and all advice to make this heavy investment worth it.
I plan to have several displays...there will be traffic of 4000+. I have been to told that my samples just cant run out in the first hour or two. I plan to raffel something and will have a great crew of positive, high energy workers.
Thank you for your words of wisdom and advice.

Congrats on getting to your first bridal show, LaDawn. I have posted about bridal booths several times on my blog, but my main points are:

Set your booth up so that is inviting for people to come into. Don't just accept the default configuration you are given by the event staff.

Give your chairs to your competition. Your feet will be really sore and you will be tired at the end of the day, but stay upbeat and energetic. Potential brides may pass you by if you are sitting or they think you are "taking a break".

Keep your samples small and don't offer too many choices. This sounds like flawed logic, but the bigger the samples and the more you offer, the more you have to tell EVERY SINGLE PERSON that walks into your booth about EACH AND EVERY flavor. For a bridal show I bring 2 flavors of samples MAX and if I had to feed 4000 I might just bring one. You find yourself in the position of peddling samples instead of showcasing your work, your personality, and the taste of your cake.

Lastly, after the show you should get a lead list from the show producer. Use this list to reach out to those brides after the show.

I hope this helps; I know your booth will be great. OH! And bring a small notebook, because as the day goes you will think of things you want to do differently next time. Six months from this show you won't remember unless you write it down! icon_smile.gif
