Was searching online for a reasonable place to buy cupcake boxes. Anyone use this one? http://bakeabox.com Seems like its priced right, and the shipping isnt too bad either!
I haven't used Bake A Box but checked out the link you gave, and compared a few quick prices with the place that I order from. Example: Bake A Box's 10x10x5 w/ window is $57.78/100. B&G Paper (where I order from) has 10x10x5.5 for only $34.08/100. Granted BG's doesn't have a window, but that's a big enough price difference for me to forgo the window. The client can see the cake when they open the box.
Check them out if you want: www.bgpaper.com. I've always had great, personal service when I call too.
Good luck!
leah_s...I love the free shipping on that site. I have ordered boxes from CK that were at a great price but the shipping was a killer! $80 dollars for boxes turned into 190! Ouch!
OP....her boxes are neat! I sent them an email about shipping. I like the tiered boxes.
I'm also going to check out the bgpaper because I'm always looking for new supply lines!
What a great post!
I also use brpboxshop and they are great. Great customer service, free shipping and really sturdy boxes. I was really shocked at how much better quality the boxes were from brp than buying them at the local stores.
I only buy window boxes for cupcakes...I don't know why I just like to see them. Regular cake boxes I don't find a need for a window. Also, I made a mental decision when buying in bulk boxes to not buy boxes in every size. I actually bought a lot of 12 inch boxes and I but 8, 9 and 10 inch cakes all on 12 inch boards so that I can use the same box. I don't do the volume to store that many different sized boxes.

That is a good idea! Thank you.
Great, resources, thanks! I like the idea of just buying 12" boxes and boards, makes it easier! The only question is, would it be weird to put a round cake on a square board? I'm still putting together my product list/menu and prices, but I usually prefer doing square cakes, just because the customer can usually get more bang for their buck. But some people still prefer round cakes, and I'm just wondering if I should order some round boards, too.
What do you guys think? Is a round cake on a square board tacky/weird?
I personally only have 10x10x6 boxes from brp too. I actually use them for all cakes. I just put a plain 12" round in the box then I tape the cake plate (if smaller) to the 12" round board for travel.

I also love this one!
I just ordered samples of their 12x12x10 and I love them! Fits my two tier cakes perfectly.
I buy mine from restockit.com
I mostly use 10" & 12" white boxes. For a round cake, I go ahead and put it on a 10" or 12" round cake board (I think it looks best). On the white "rubber" non-skid shelf paper inside a box of the same size, it's not going anywhere.
HTH!
