How do I make Zombies?

I have been asked to do a wedding cake with zombies crawling up the cake toward the bride and groom, but out of sooo many videos I've seen, none come close to showing me how to make a zombie out of fondant, modeling chocolate, or gumpaste. I have seen how to make a head and an arm, but how do you do the rest of the body? How do you assemble them?? I need help!! The wedding is February 25th!! Any videos anyone knows about and where I can find them??

I would just look for some photos of zombies....then make a basic person out of what you are most comfortable with (I like fondant and gumpaste mixed)...and make it look like a zombie -zombies are regular people with ripped up clothes, blood, wierd facial expressions...and paler skin. You can be super creative here- just in how you paint and clothe them....but zombies aren't shaped any different way then a normal person- just look creepier.
And I just have to say- what a strange request!! Zombies climbing up their wedding cake?!? I made some for a halloween cake and had fun doing them- but a wedding cake?!?
Have fun!!
I've learned so much from my mistakes..... I'm thinking of making a few more!

I made a zombie cake for my son's grooms cake. It's in my photo section.

I went to home depot and purchased some copper tubing and a blow torch. I used the copper tubing for the skeleton of the zombie and then covered them in candy clay. I was really scarred, but it turned out to be really easy and A LOT OF FUN! Except for the very small burn mark that I made on my kitchen cabinets because I wasn't watching what I was doing -- I was talking to my daughter at the same time. icon_eek.gif But, now every time I happen upon the burn mark it reminds me how much fun I had doing it.

Let me know if you would like anymore direction on how I did them.

Good Luck!

How do you make zombies? With copious amounts of high-potency rum in a mixture of fruit juices, of course.

(An odd thing for me to know about, given that I'm a lifelong teetotaler.)

Oh my goodness, I used to love that drink! Haven't heard that referenced in years.
