help with wilton 3d rubber ducky pan please

Hi All, before I have a disaster on my hands, what's the best way to bake the wilton 3d rubber ducky pan?
Directions say to fill one side and tie together and bake...hmmm just doesn't sound like it would be too successful to me. Does that actually work? I was thinking of filling both sides, baking each, then putting together. What's worked for all of you??? I see alot of them pictured that look very sucessful!!! Thanks in advance for the suggestions!!!!

I've done it just as the instructions suggest. Use cotton string, the more the better, and maybe some of those binder clips. It worked for me. Here's the link to one I did: http://cakes.dqd.com/Birthdays_web/images/Rubber%20ducky.jpg

The cake rises to fill the other pan. Follow the instructions, tie it up tight, and you should be good.

I have done the 3d duck several times. Make sure you fill the pan completely level, tie the 2 halves tightly, and make sure you set it on a cookie sheet to catch the overflow.

I have a picture of the most recent ducky I made in my gallery. I have also used the form for a dinosaur cake, too cute!!
