Ok, finally figured it out.
www.dremecakeartistry.com
I had to go thru the FB page searching for it. Would have been so much easier to type your domain name in your post.
I am giving my feedback to help you, not to harm your site. I am merely suggesting to you things that I have experience with in website and database design.
Now for your site:
The content is not centering in any browser. I have used over 15 different browsers and it is not set to center.
The size of the actual pictures need to be smaller. The twp pictures on the page named "Home" are over 1Mb combined. The entire site should not be that large. Beautiful cakes in the pictures, but the file size needs to be as small as possible without losing quality. I worked with one picture and was able to get the file size from 668Kb to 34Kb, without loosing any physical size, or quality in pixels. Remember, some folks are still on analog modems. That page would take a few minutes to download.
The form allows for entries that should never, ever be allowed. I was able to submit totally bogus data, such as a name with numbers included.
I was able to submit harmful database queries
I was able to enter and submit US area codes that do not exist.
I strongly suggest that you separate and use two distinct form fields for first and last name. How will you ever query the database to find someone. You can never be certain that a human will type their names in any order. Especially for names like "Bobbi James". How will you know what is the first name and what one is the last name? Could be rather awkward when calling.
Not find of placing the "at" symbol in the form field.
The tab order is not correct on the Consultations Page form. No one can tab to the next form field in order.
The Date entry form field on Consultations page will allow any any date format. I would use a calendar that flies open, or use drop down lists for each part of the date. Type in only the date, not the day of the week. That can easily be figured by using the date.
I can also enter a date that has already past. This should not be allowed.
I could not list a suite number in the "Event Location". There is no form field for this data
I was able to list the same letter multiple time in the text field.
I was able to list a price that is just totally absurd. I think I typed in something $3.00. I then was able to type in the "Number Of Guests" form field, I submitted something like 75 trillion
These are things that the form should never allow. If you do not code for things like this, your data will be so very messed up and you will waste many hours trying to sift thru what is valid and what is not.
I have designed many hundreds of websites, and most of them use forms. I allow only data that I expect.
You stated that you worked on updating the site. Would it not be easier for you to update the database and tell the database when to show this data, as opposed to updating a static site? I am not trying to drum up website or database development work, I have plenty of that. I am only suggesting more simple ways or running your business online.
We are also trying to build our cake business, and we use our website to help with that. You are excellent at designing cakes, and I am sure that we would learn a lot from you. I am only sharing my website development experience with you. It would be awful for you if you lost all your data that you have collected thru your website. But I was able to send bad commands to your database.
