Has anyone made the Rose Cake from I Am Baker using a BC without Crisco? thanks

Do you mean a butter only recipe or a meringue buttercream recipe? I think it should work with any recipe that can hold a swirl. The only ones that I think would be iffy would be the boiled frostings or a whipped frosting like a Pastry Pride.

thankscake thanks for responding. I meant a meringue like IMBC. And now I am thinking of doing it with white chocolate added to it. There is a white chocolate macadamia nut cake recipe in fine Cooking that I want to make.

I think it should work with an IMBC. If it gets too soft you can just pop it in the fridge but I think you should be fine.
