Looking for a chocolate icing recipe for a thin layer cake, like a 16 layer cake, I've tried several recipes for the cake, however I'm looking for the Chocolate icing that has a kinda crunch to it once it sits a bit, does anyone have this recipe??? I cant seem to find one that is like this.
THanks for all your help
Jody

Could you just used melted chocolate (or chocolate-flavored candy melts) with a little shortening in it? When the chocolate sets, the shortening gives it some crunch. It's what I use on my cake balls.
