So I'm make chocolate cupcakes and am wondering if i can shop heavy cream and use as a filling to cupcakes? Anything else I can use for whipped cream filling?

I used sweetened whipping cream for a bridal consultation ... they loved it, but I want something that may hold a little better in the future. So I found these two and have yet to try either one, I'd love to know how you liked them of you try them.

ScrumdidlyCakes, did you mean ship cupcakes made with heavy cream? Whipped cream is fragile and needs refrigeration, so it's not a good candidate for shipping.

I use a mock whipped cream recipe that's a variation of the first link from idreamincupcakes. It works okay but doesn't taste like whipped cream and doesn't hold up more than a few days.

How about white chocolate ganache? It uses heavy cream and tastes like sweet whipped cream.

You can use pastry pride or bettercream both of them are delicious. thumbs_up.gif
