Organizing Saved Fav. Photos

I would love it if it could be possible to organize saved favorite photos. So that everyone's account could have categories and when you click on add to favorite, you can select a category.
Most of us save photos of cakes we will think will inspire a future cake. For example, my son will be having a winter party in his school. I know I've saved lots of great winter cakes and cup cakes. But I have to go through each and every page of photos. And I don't need to look at the wedding cakes, or the summer cakes etc. It would save lots of time if I could have just clicked the "winter" category.

It this even possible? I don't think I'm the only one who would appreciate it.

it is on our list but it is a pretty complicated addition so it will be awhile before we can deliver on that.

Boy I would really like that too! I was looking for a suggestion place to suggest this very thing when I saw this post. The American government figures that for every letter they get on a topic, that around 400 people feel the same way but didn't write a letter. So, I know that others want this feature also. I have over 500 cakes saved and it is a royal pain in the neck to scroll through all of them to find what i want. I live in Mexico in a small village and our internet speed WISHES it was as fast as American dial up, lol. It takes me forever to find what I want. Please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeease, lol.

Before the website changed over to the new format, they used to have a category in the advanced search tool where you could choose finding, for example, "winter" theme cakes in the "my favorites" category. When they changed over, they kept the advanced search categories all there, but removed the "my favorites" category. I don't see why they ever removed it, or why it's so hard to put back when it was already there. But it would greatly be appreciated if they did add that feature back on. I too have the same problem and like to look for specific cakes in "my favorites". I have posted this question in the forum before but no one has ever answered it.

Hope they do it soon!!

When I save a picture as a favorite on CC I also right click on the picture and save picture as. In my picture folder I have catagories to file various cakes, cookies, figures, templates... into. It's a lot easier to find pictures. I don't have to flip page after page after page, just scroll down.

@MadMillie - I save as also and then organize on my hard drive. However, at my internet speed downloading takes alomst 5 minutes per photo. with 500 photos that's close to 42 hours of work if you did it nonstop.

desfox13 luckely I have great internet service and a rather new computer so it saves in less than a second. You may want to consider a protable hard drive to save your pictures on. The amount of space it takes to save the pictures on your hard drive can also slow down your computer. I had to do this with some of my pictures and recipes and with itunes.

I started saving my favorites on pinterest, too, and tagging them as I go, but still working on what will work for me. Oftentimes, it is one element of a cake I want to save it for...so this is something I saw someone doing there and i am seeing if it works for me. But I just cake for fun and family. :0)

Was wondering about the same thing too. I really miss the feature where I could look for a category within 'my favorites.' To look in my favorites now I have to do page by page and I do have way to many pages of favorites icon_biggrin.gif

the lack of this feature is my main turn off to saving to favorites. i dont have the time to go bck through 10+ pages of cakes looking for something specific...so, im another one that does the 'save as' and organizes on my computer. would LOVE to have the ability to organize!
