I just posted a question regarding Macsmom's recipes... and got to thinking. For any WASC recipe...can any box cake mix be used? All the big brands tend to have mixes that orginally call for the use of either butter or oil. I normally have bought the usual oil based box mixes...Can the butter versions be used aswell in the WASC recipes?

Thanks!!!

If you check outmy*original* WASC recipe you will see that Yes, any flavor and any brand mix can be used. Also: NO oil or butter is needed!

I know i don't use the ingredients called for on the box... but I wanted to make sure that I can use the box mix that normally calls for butter.

Thanks

The sour cream acts as your "oil" and yes any brand can be used.
