My sons school asked me to make a cake for their winter dance, theme is Candyland Christmas, I have been trying to search on the gallery but it's not working. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Well with the limited info you posted the suggestions I have are:
snowmen from gumballs/jawbreakers or other round candies; lots of candycanes; make trees from ice cream cones and use sprinkles &/or M&Ms for lights/ornaments.

Is the candyland theme like the Candyland game? You could do a version of the game board, such as http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_rtxsiPVujFY/TNhws4sPHPI/AAAAAAAABKY/31ZU0XLbrn4/s1600/sweets_candyland.jpg

When I think of my favorite candy at Christmas, I think of Nutcracker shaped Snickers, white chocolate peppermint bark (its not just for christmas anymore! lol), Marshmallow Santas covered in Chocolate and those story book looking packs of life savers cuz my mom used to put them in our stockings every year lol
