Hi, I have just moved to America and would like to know what brand of self raising flour is the best. In London i used a self raising sponge flour and my cakes and cupcakes were so soft. I tried Martha White flour but did not really like the texture any recommendations would be appreciated.
White Lily and Presto are two brands of self-rising cake flour.
But you can easily make your own:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Thank you for your response I brought the Pilsbury brand at the weekend so I will give it a try and I guess if I do not like it I will try another until I find a flour that gives me a great result.
I would prefer you White lily,because I had used it before.It is really very easy to make.Once read the precautions of the pack backside of it.
