I love that you can see all of the new cakes and most saved cakes in more than just the strip...AWESOME!!

However,
-want to see how many views on my cakes, number of comments made,and how many saved as a favorite
-ads are way to close to cake pics
-would love to be able to search within the Most Saved Cakes and New Cakes for something in particular
-where are the emoticions when you comment on cakes?
- get an error when looking at my favorites and my pictures

i cannot view my photos of my cakes any more. i keep getting an error / page not found icon_sad.gif

Not sure the site needed a makeover. It feels like too much was bitten off at one time.

-Unless you do a Quick Reply - you have to scroll all the way up to the top of the page for the Reply to Topic button - 99/100 times you will read through the entire post, i.e. be at the bottom, when you want to reply so a button needs to be added there.

-The ads are way too large and it makes the site unbalanced and visibly unpleasing. Now that ads take up 1/3 of the space it bunches up the posts into large blocks and ends up so you can't see multiple posts in your screen at the same time so now you lose that flow and quick scan ability

-As like everyone else my favorite recipes are now gone.

Just a few things I have noticed in the first 2 mins of looking around. IMO you should have fixed the bugs from the old layout and made small tweeks instead of trying to overhaul the entire site.

not seeing alternate views pics for my photos. I know they're in there. Because when I try to add another view, it tells me I already have the max 6. But I can't see them.

I do like how the pics on the home page scroll so much more quickly now.

Agree with everyone else that the ads are way too big. I don't like that everything else is squished to make room for those.

I keep getting error 404 when trying to look for My own pics..ect where did they go??

OK!!! now my favorite recipes is in the "my photos" click and I stil do not have any photos showing.

Jackie, thanks for addressing the comments that were already posted and for recognizing the 'glitch' with the stats.

My take so far:

-The ads are TOO big.
-Font isn't big enough.
-REALLY miss seeing the hottest forum topics on the front page.
-While flipping through pages, I kept having to sign in (apparently, it's kicking me out of the system while browsing)
-The colors are nice in the layout - it does look more modern and clean. Really gonna take a while to get used to everything on the left side now since before the SMALLER ads were on the left and now the HUGE ads are on the right.

For those needing their recipes, I hope that gets resolved quickly. Thanks for the progress and yes, I will hang in there. After all, this is a wonderufull FREE resource that I thoroughly appreciate and will just adjust to it because I enjoy being a part of this caking community. Thank you for the hard work.

I just have one quick question, all my favorite recipes and all of my photos are no longer there is this just temporary?

ok...i cannot pull up my photos from where it has my profile...but under galleries, in that pull down, i can access my photos...try that for anyone else having problems viewing ... icon_smile.gif

ACK!!! RECIPES ARE GONE!!! I really need my saved recipes--it took so long to find them the first time around! And I still can't see any of my forum posts after the first page. I also really liked seeing the most recent forum posts on the front page. Now when I go to "most recent posts" I just get the most recent post for each forum category, from the looks of it. But mostly, I just want my saved recipes back!!! Please?
