on Dec 1 2011, we rolled out some layout changes to CakeCentral.com along with some new features and bug-fixes
(will update with a full list here soon!)

I am really excited about this update, and I hope all enjoy it as much as I do.

As with any change... there may be some bugs along the way, so please let us know if you are having any issues!

I don't see the option to choose "top" so you can quickly go back to the top of the page without scrolling. I prefer to not have to keep clicking on the back arrow. In the case I don't want to reply, I have to scroll back up to the top of the thread to make the choice to go back to the forum page I was on. Some forums give you the option to choose which forum page you wanted to jump to, but always highlighted the forum you were currently in so you can quickly and easily return to the forum. It was always located at the bottom of the thread near the quick reply mostly.Those forums that didn't have that option at least gave you the option to click on the word "top" to return you to the top of the page where you could make the choice to return to the forum you were just in. Other than that, everything is cool. Thanks and have a great day.

I like the new look. Seems to be more user friendly BUT I can't find the button to add photos to my favorite. Help!

Just a little disappointed. On the "My Photos" page I miss the stats for each picture. Yeah it fluffs my ego, but I miss it.

I like the new look, however I was disappointed to see that the search function is still not working. I can't view anything past the first page.

Is there any way we can shrink the ads up on the right? It just seems like there is a bit of white space on the left and the ads are taking away from the forum space. The forums are very narrow and tough to read when they are scrunched up like that. I did adjust the font size so that part is ok with me.

If you guys are having problems with the font size, hold down the control key and push plus or minus, or you can hold control and use the wheel on your mouse to adjust the font size. I use Firefox so not sure how it works in IE.

Where are my saved favorite recipes. I really need one of them now for a wedding cake. I can't find any recipes at all. I think the new layout is a big BOOOOOO!!!!!!!! thumbsdown.gif

I think it just takes some getting used to. I had to zoom my page and increase the text size to make it comfortable to read. Still searching through the menu and dropdowns. I guess I prefer the ads on the top so I have a full page screen to read, rather than 1/3 of the page being an ad "border".

Definitely not wanting to sound rude as this is such a great site....but I really don't like the changes at all - hopefully it grows on me but so far...not so good icon_sad.gif

I'm not all hip on it ...yet.... I don't like not being able to search through the recipes. Before I could just go to recipes and look at all the listings on the side and pick a category, then go from page to page - that function I can't seem to find if it's here. And when replying to post this little thing at the bottom isn't working, that needs to be bigger and an option to go advance before you hit the preview button. I also agree move the ads to the top this all on the side thing is for the birds. I also want to add as well that I miss the stats on our pictures as well. I liked to see if there were comments or how many people viewed or how many people had it as a favorite. It boosts my spirits to see that info.
