I want to make a mickey mouse in sitting position around 6-9 inches high. It will be made from rice crispies and covered with fondant.

I have no idea how to do the skeleton and hold the rice crispies on it.

Any help would be appreciated

I would say pvc, however I'm not sure with the 6 to 9 inches. I have done figures in sections, let them set to harden up some, then used bamboo skewers or the thin round wilton dowels to support the structure. With a thicker wooden dowel down the center, pushed all the way through to cake board, to support the structure on the cake. I give myself a couple hours extra time to figure out the best route to takefor these types of structures. Good luck!!!

I would use the Wilton bear pan. Press the treats in there firmly and remove the front pan before the treats are set. You can move the arms down to a better position this way. Once it's set, add the nose and ears and hold them on there with icing or chocolate and a toothpick. Decorate and use a thick skewer from the top of the head down into the board to hold it in place. Oh! You have to slice off the bear tail, too.
