What a great idea! Sorry no one noticed at first. That can be so frustrating, but unfortunately it's also really common that great cakes get overlooked because of the number of cakes posted each day. Great work!

It's a very cute idea icon_biggrin.gif

Lots of cakes don't get much attention around here, the last couple that I've posted haven't gotten any comments or favs. I think that people mostly favorite things that they want to duplicate.

I usually post my cakes on DeviantArt too...it's nice to get comments or feedback from people who don't make cakes too, they look at stuff in a different way.

Your cake is really cute. I made a Turkey cake for the 1st time this year. He came out ok, I made him for me, I have severe allergic reaction to egg yolks. So my "on feathered friend is made from egg whites, he is a chocolate marble cake. I used Wilton sugar sheets for the sign with edible markers. I love making him. My family really enjoyed eating my "yoke-less"cake".

That is a very original idea. I wonder how that would taste like.

I am finding www.cakecentral.com to be an ideal site for bakery ideas.

I don't think people are not noticing or commenting on purpose. For me I've been having problems viewing , moving around the site and even trying to leave comments that I've just given up trying to do it.

I thought it was me, but I too am having trouble with posting in the forums, either I cannot get the comments at all or I can't open the e-mail responses.
I used cake mix with 1/2 cup egg substitute with just 1 real egg white and added other ingredients to doctor the taste. The cake was yummmmo. I was so surprised, it was the first cake eaten up before the scratch cakes. I can't believe it.

Very clever cake. Great job. I know what you mean. I did a Thanksgiving cake inspired by another caker and everything I do at this point is new decorating territory for me.It got over looked as well. (
It's the first cake in my photo)
Well... My family thought it was great
