So a close family friend asked me to make a cake for her daughter's 2nd grade teacher. It will be for Wednesday, and she wants a royal theme. The classroom's theme is like queen of the day, king of the day, they get little crowns for good deeds...so on. She would like it to have some sort of a crown on it and say Happy Birthday to the Queen of 2nd Grade. Any suggestions on the design or colors???

I would go with a royal purple, maybe some cool draping to make it look elegant but still simple. I would do a silver crown, but that's mostly because I hate gold; honestly you could do either way. If you wanted to be really ambitious you could try and make it look like a throne with the crown sitting on it. That's the first thing that popped into my mind. Or you could always do fleur de lis on it.
