I have to ship some cookies on Monday and I was wondering if there was a recipe for flooding cookies that dries hard and fast. I normally use the royal icing mix by Linneas but personally I don't like the taste.
Any tips to help the dry faster would be appreciated also icon_wink.gif

To help them dry quicker, you can put them into a gas oven with just the pilot lit, or if you don't have a gas oven, put them in an electric oven with the light on. Either method will produce just enough heat to dry the icing rather than melting it.

Thanks! I tried Toba's glace and I loved the texture. I added some butter flavor and vanilla extract and the taste was very good. It flooded great. If they aren't dry by tomorrow I will try your tip chelleb1974. So far, they seem to be drying pretty quickly. Thanks again!

Just add some flavoring to the icing and you'll be fine I add anything from banana extract for little kids cookies to brandy flavored lorann oils for adult cookies. They love them.

I have used Sugar Deux's Fast Drying RI that's in the recipe section here. It dries very quickly, and hard. HTH
