I found this practice cookie recipe on here:
Joans Cookie Dummy Dough
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cups water
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Combine the flour, salt and water; mix well and knead for 10 minutes. (or save time and throw into your KA
using the paddle or hook attachment). Roll out on a lightly floured surface.
Cut into desired shapes. Smooth edges out before baking.
Bake for 30 minutes; allow to cool.
Decorate with icing for practice. Allow to dry and spray with clear polyurethane on both sides to preserve for future reference.
But when I bake it it doesn't bake even, it gets air bubbles and the edges curl a bit. how can I get the dummies to bake evenly? would baking powder work? I also had to cook them at a slightly lower temperature.
Thanks in advance
