You can do it either way, which ever you prefer. i like the shortening because you can stick it directly to fondant that way.
I ordered mine and now I am trying to be patient and wait for it to arrive. I am like a kid waiting for Santa to arrive. Always checking to see if the delivery man is bringing my cricut cake!!

I ordered one too and then saw the warnings, I paid with my credit card so I contacted my credit card company after reading the warnings and explained that I was concerned, they will keep a check on any future transactions and contact me before letting any payment go through. I'm in the UK so I thought that this would also be a good deal for me too - I hope there is no scam!

no i haven't had anything yet, did anyone get email to notify dispatch?? i paid through paypal, do you think i should still contact my credit card company, i am a little worried
either that or maybe you could email them to see when it was despatched and how long it should take for delivery - fedex usually takes about 2-3 days from US - the only other thing is if it is held up in customs at this end, sometimes it can take them some time to contact you.
I called and talked to cusomer service , they said orders on 11 11 and close to that day were very large and they are just gettting them out now, , Rep said they are going out federal express, and that if you gave a email address then you will get a email with a tracking number. Still crossing my fingers, guess I will wait a few more days . Problem is I registered, but everytiime I try to sign on it claimes they dont have anyone with my email address. The customer service dept has emailed me before and they ved they have my email on the order right...weird so I will keep you posted

I'm another UK purchaser and it is still showing as waiting for shipping when I got into the site. I did email asking when it would be shipped they answered saying that due to large amount of purchases it was taking a while to get them out and they thanked me for my patience. Just wish it would hurry up and come!

Now although the email says its USPS when I put the tracking number from the email in their search it came up with nothing. I then googled the tracking number and it came up with fedex and apparently it is in Memphis TN and due to arrive with me by 6pm on the 25th, can't wait.

I received an email today saying that my cricut has been shipped USPS - not sure how long it will take to arrive - but I can't wait I am really looking forward to using it!!
I just recieved mine this morning. Looking forward to seeing what it can do!!
On the website it says a Manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty on electronic parts. I haven't received mine yet. Does it say something different on the paperwork? I would guess that if you checked it out as soon as you receive it and it didn't work they would replace it.
